In 2019, after two outstanding seasons in Europe, Carlo Ancelotti requested his arrival at SSC Napoli, where the Italian coach was at the time. Since then, Lozano has been player in Serie A, with an irregular participation as he’s often not considered by Luciano Spalletti.

Reports suggest that Lozano will leave Napoli at the end of the season as the economic situation of the Azzurri is not the best, added to the fact that he is not an essential player for Spalletti. His future could be in La Liga, Premier League or even in Serie A, as he’s been followed by several clubs.

But his presence in Europe, especially during his first two seasons opened the door for the arrival of another Mexican player that has been called to be his successor, especially in PSV, where Erick Gutiérrez finally became an essential player for Roger Schmidt.

Gutiérrez will play in Premier League next season

The 26-year-old midfielder had a tough time adapting to European soccer, between his irregularity and the injuries, it took him until this season to finally establish in Schmidt ‘s starting XI, but he has excelled since became a starter.

His good streak made him become a key player in the 2-1 comeback against Ajax to give him his first title with PSV, as “Guti” scored the first goal for the Boeren. And now, the good news keeps coming his way, as Gutiérrez is being followed by Fulham FC.

Fulham will play in Premier League next season, which is why they’re looking to strengthen their squad and Erick Gutiérrez is one of their top choices according to Diario As. His arrival at Premier League couldn’t have a better timing, as it will help him improve just months prior the World Cup.

Two other teams are pursuing his addition

If his permanent move to Fulham FC doesn’t realize, there’s at least two more teams interested in him, including Primeira Liga side SL Benfica, where Raúl Jiménez already played, and Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, where they’re looking to replicate Javier “Chicharito” Hernández’s success.
