Carlos Vela wants this goalkeeper in El Tri to guarantee his arrival

After Ochoa retires, El Tri will need to look for a new goalkeeper, as he’s been the starter for over a decade. Although everyone is expecting that Carlos Acevedo becomes his replacement, in Spain there’s a young goalkeeper that will fight for the starting role.

Alex Padilla is just 18 years old, but he’s impressed with his abilities, which is why Athletic Bilbao was interested in him and now owns his economic rights, although he was loaned for the current season, as he plays for CD Basconia, in Spanish third division.

Can Padilla play for Mexico National Team?

Even though Alex Padilla has played for the Academy teams of Spain National Team, he has yet to debut with the senior squad on an official match, which is why Mexico National Team could still convince him to wear El Tri colors.
