One of the things that Gerardo “Tata” Martino has been more criticized of during his stint as Mexico National Team coach is the lack of opportunities that he gives to young promising players who could give more to El Tri than what the current roster has.

Not only that, but also the fact that he stopped calling players that still are playing on their prime, like Carlos Vela or Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, and that, especially for the upcoming FIFA match window, could boost some of the areas El Tri needs help the most.
But now, hours before Mexico National Team’s first game of the year, another player might quit Mexico National Team given the lack of opportunities he’s had. Sebastián Soto currently plays in the Scottish top flight and with only 21 years, he’s another striker that has decided to play for USMNT.

Chicharito Hernández has only one condition to play again with El Tri
Born in California in 2000, Soto has the chance of representing Mexico, Chile and United States national teams, but so far, he’s been part of US Soccer Academy teams and he even has played two friendly matches with the senior squad.
