Gerardo Martino’s future is in the air, not only because he already tried to quit Mexico National Team after the 2-1 defeat against Canada, but because now, the Mexican Football Federation has said that his place as El Tri coach is not guaranteed, and even some of his players have started doubting him.

But not even Rogelio Funes Mori, who arrived in El Tri by Martino’s personal request, believes in the Argentinian coach, as he doesn’t think he’s the answer to what Mexico needs in order to reach the quarterfinals in a World Cup. “I’m just another option, because I’m just another player who wants to be in El Tri and wants to play a World Cup.”
