And even though Gerardo “Tata” Martino is not the only one to blame for El Tri’s results, he was the most questioned for Mexico National Team performance. He was so self-conscious about it that he even presented his resignation letter.

The incident happened after the defeat El Tri suffered in Edmonton, but the players backed him up and Martino decided to stay and complete his contract as Mexico National Team coach, something he’ll only achieve if El Tri wins the upcoming matches against Jamaica, Costa Rica and Panama.

What would happen if Mexico National Team doesn’t win?

Mexican Football Federation already has a plan if Martino fails to earn at least 7 out of the 9 points available in the upcoming FIFA match window, as reports suggest that they’ve been in conversations with Miguel Herrera to have a second stint as El Tri coach.
