Some painful news has reached Mexico national team coach Gerardo Martino, one of his best options inside of the Mexican national team has announced that he will miss the World Cup Qatar 2022. Martino knows that his options in attack are limited, and this striker’s gap be difficult to fill.

According to the medical reports from Chivas, José Juan Macías has picked up an injury that will see him miss the upcoming World Cup in November. With the limited options in attack, Martino hoped for Macías to regain his performance level and help the team’s chances in the World Cup.

The Mexican team coach is now forced to look for other options for the World Cup, since Macías’ injury is very serious and the recovery timetable does not look good.

How long is Macias out for?

The Mexican striker’s near future does not look good. According to medical reports ‘JJ’ will be out of the pitch for approximately 9 months. Martino will be forced to look to other options to reinforce his squad for the upcoming World Cup.
