Martinoli found out that Herrera would be DT of El Tri and spoke of his definitive resignation

It turns out that the arrival of Miguel Herrera to the national team ended up dashing the hopes of Corona, who was never wanted by the coach. El Piojo claimed that José de Jesús' style of play was not the best, so he simply decided to remove him from his status as the starting goalkeeper for El Tri.

As a result, Herrera called Guillermo Ochoa and he took over the goalkeeping position in the Mexican national team. Corona uncovered what happened during that period, corresponding to the Brazil 2014 World Cup. It turns out that the 40-year-old goalkeeper's strong character ended up hurting him and he complained to Piojo the reason for his substitution.

Why did Herrera prefer Guillermo Ochoa?

Jesús Corona said that Miguel Herrera preferred Guillermo because he is a highly mediatic goalkeeper, who sells and who he trusts completely. In the World Cup, Ochoa ended up responding to him, but his multiple problems, which continue to affect him today, cast doubt on the decision of the former coach of El Tri.
