Mexico is preparing for another World Cup in November and Gerardo Martino is already fine-tuning his squad prior to the start of the World Cup. Martino will call up a total of 26 players and these are the ones who are in the final stretch for a place in Qatar. However, it seems that one of them will not be in the squad because he has asked for the return of a player who has been banned from El Tri.

The poor form of the Mexican striker in recent matches has made the fans unhappy with the decision. As a result, there are two names that are beginning to be heard: Carlos Vela and "Chicharito" Hernández.

However, now there is a player who would be in favor of Chicharito's return to El Tri and for this reason Martino would veto him completely from the team. The fact is that he would not be taken into account for the following matches ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Which player would be banned for asking for Chicharito's return?

The Mexican player who has asked for the return of Hernandez and for this reason has not been taken into account is precisely Javier Aquino. The Mexican defender used to be a recurring player for El Tri but with Martino he has rarely been present in the various call-ups. "The truth is that I know Javier and he is a great player, he is one of the best Mexicans we have had in history and he has proven it in my point of view. It is strictly the coach's decision, we don't know why he calls him up or not," Aquino said at a press conference.
