The road to the appointment of a new coach for the Mexican national team has begun. According to RECORD, the current coach of Pachuca, Guillermo Almada, is the top option. At the moment, he has not been defined but he is the one that Mexican clubs support the most.

Yon de Luisa has requested a 60-day deadline to deliver a full report on the failure of the Mexican team in Qatar 2022. After that, there is an agreed meeting between the federation and the Liga MX clubs with the objective of jointly appointing the new national team coach.
