A few days before the World Cup, it is revealed the Mexican that left El Tri and betrayed Martino
The player that is not going to Qatar 2022 with Mexico
The Mexican national team officially presented the list of called-up players for the 2022 World Cup. It is a highly controversial list where certain players have been selected despite not being at their best physical or sporting level. One player was left out but because he would have betrayed Gerardo Martino.
The player in question is Jesus Manuel Corona, a member of the Mexican national team who plays for Sevilla FC and is recovering from an important fibula injury. The player did not want to make his recovery in Mexico and preferred to stay under the care of professionals in Seville, something that did not please Martino.
