However, the Venezuelan has had a better start to 2022 and although he is not a starter in Liga MX, Reynoso has used him as a substitute and for the Concacaf Champions League, he started in Canada against Forge FC, where he scored a goal.

"It's my first game as a starter and I feel happy for the goal and for the victory, in addition to the team's performance. I always said I had a lot of faith and that I was going to get my chance." answered the midfielder, who was also asked about his favorite position on the field. 

"I have more options to touch the ball. I love that position, today it worked very well for me.  Attacking midfielder is my favorite position."

How much does the Venezuelan earn?

According to ESPN, Rómulo Otero earns 15 million pesos a year. That was the contract he signed with Cruz Azul when he arrived in the Apertura 2021.

According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is two million euros.
