The offensive midfielder has been a determining factor in his team's second place in the overall standings of the Clausura 2022. For this reason, it is worth knowing more about this player.

Who is Romario Ibarra?

Romario Andrés Ibarra Mina is an Ecuadorian soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Club de Fútbol Pachuca of Liga MX 2022.

He is also known for being the younger brother of fellow Ecuadorian soccer player Renato Ibarra

Perhaps because of his physical appearance and his skills on the field, the player is popularly known as the Ecuadorian "Marcelo".

In the current Clausura 2022 tournament, the player has played 5 matches with his club and has scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist, but where he really stands out is precisely in his handling of the Tuzos' midfield.

Where and when was Romario Ibarra born?

Romario Ibarra was born in Atuntaqui, Province of Imbabura, Ecuador on September 24, 1994, so he is currently 27 years old, most of which he has dedicated to his career as a soccer player.

The player began his professional career in 2011 when he made his debut with Universidad Católica, Ecuador, where he played 137 games, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists.

Romario Ibarra's return to Universidad Católica of Ecuador

Ibarra would be with this team until 2018, when he was transferred to Liga de Quito, also in Ecuador, in 2013, where he would fail to consolidate and would leave in 2014 to return to Universidad Católica, to leave in 2018 and go to his next adventure: Major League Soccer

There he would play for Minnesota United FC, where from 2018 to 2019 he would play 17 games in which he would score 5 goals and from there, he would move to Liga MX, where he would finish consolidating himself as a midfielder with goal in Pachuca.

In this club, Ibarra has accumulated 56 games in which he has scored 8 goals and 4 assists, and it has also been rumored that Everton of the Premier League would be interested in his services, so he could soon leave Liga MX.

If this move were to be confirmed, it would most likely take place in the summer transfer window as Ibarra is currently one of the most important elements in Guillermo Almada's game plan.
