After four years in MLS, Carlos Vela is finally considering parting ways with Los Angeles FC, as his contract will end over the summer and neither him nor LAFC seem too keen on the idea of prolonging his stay with the Black & Gold.

With less than six months left on his contract, Liga MX teams are showing interest on bringing him finally to Mexico, as he never debuted with Chivas in Mexico’s top flight when he belonged to El Rebaño, which is why they are one of the fives teams after the 32-year-old right-winger.

Rumors suggest that Arturo Elías Ayub is interested in giving Carlos Vela the chance of playing with Chivas and would even consider paying his salary. His only request is that Amaury Vergara sells the club, as he hasn’t showed that he has a project strong enough.

How much will Chivas have to pay for Carlos Vela?

If Carlos Vela arrives in Chivas over the summer, he’d do it as a free agent, which means his mote to El Rebaño will be free, but according to reports, they’d have to pay him a salary of $4.5 million per year, as that’s what he’ll make with LAFC for the 2022 MLS Season.
