After a short stint in La Liga, where he had a bitter experience as his loan with Getafe FC was cut short just six months after he joined them, José Juan Macías had to return to Liga MX and Chivas in order to continue his professional career.

But before he left El Rebaño Sagrado, some of his teammates were tired of his attitudes, as he thought that Liga MX and Chivas were small for him, and he needed a bigger challenge. One of those players was Miguel Ponce, who wasn’t afraid of confronting him.

Now that Macías returned to Guadalajara, both players seem comfortable with their roles in El Rebaño Sagrado, especially after Macías said that he knows he’ll have to earn his place in Chivas roster, showing that he’s grown as a person.

How much did Chivas pay for Macías?

Although Getafe FC rescinded his contract, José Juan Macías was just on a loan with them, and given that his economic rights still belong to Chivas, his addition to El Rebaño was free. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is set at $8 million.
