When José Juan Macías left Liga MX to join La Liga side Getafe, he didn’t expect to be relegated to a reserve role, given that he thought he’d be helping a team on the bottom part of the league to fight to avoid relegation.
Can Jürgen Damm arrive in Chivas?
But Macías forced his departure from Chivas thinking that Liga MX was too small for him and his talent, even though he wasn’t in the best shape and was far from what he’d done with Club León in Apertura 2019, where he was Liga MX top scorer.
But now, after being left out of Getafe as the Azulones rescinded his contract, Macías had to return to Guadalajara to join Chivas, hoping to earn some playing time and regain the shape that made him a prospect that could play in Europe.
At his arrival in Guadalajara, José Juan Macías said that he returns to Chivas with all the humility to fight for a spot in Chivas roster, knowing that he won’t be able to just walk in and reclaim his place as he had never left, an attitude that is far from what he showed when he left six months ago despising Chivas and Liga MX.
