In the three games that Ricardo Cadena has coached Chivas, El Rebaño Sagrado remains unbeaten thanks to the victories over Cruz Azul, Xolos de Tijuana and Pumas, which have earned them a spot in Repechaje, although they are still trying to have the home advantage.

With only one game left in the regular season, Chivas will visit Club Necaxa in a game that will define which team ends in the top side of the table, given that both teams have 23 points and have won their last three games.

The good performances that El Rebaño Sagrado have had with Ricardo Cadena has made Amaury Vergara considering giving Cadena the chance of remaining as Chivas’s coach for at least another season, especially since he knows well the players from the academy squads to the first team.

Chivas still needs to become a protagonist in Repechaje and then Liguilla to ensure Cadena’s presence as their coach for Apertura 2022, but Cadena knows that with the way they’re currently playing, they have strong chances of making it into the quarterfinals.

A new striker will arrive at Chivas

The situation in which Chivas currently is, has made Ricardo Cadena start planning the upcoming season, as he knows that there are positions on the roster that needs to be improved if they want to be a protagonist next season.

One of the priorities is on the offense, as Ángel Zaldívar hasn’t contribute lately -he has one goal in the last 14 games-, and José Juan Macías, although is a talented player, he’s also prone-injury, which is why Cadena is already looking for a new striker.

Although the names of Diego Abreu and Santiago Giménez have been linked to El Rebaño, Cadena knows that Chivas doesn’t need to look outside, as they have Paolo Yrízar already playing in CD Tapatío, Chivas’s reserves team.

Who is Paolo Yrízar?

The 24-year-old forward joined Chivas’s structure for Clausura 2022, although he’s mainly played in CD Tapatío, where he scored four goals and two assistances during the regular season. Yrízar arrived at Chivas out of Dorados de Sinaloa.
