Nicolás Benedetti left América before the start of the Clausura 2022 Tournament and almost six months later the Colombian player finished his participation with Mazatlán in Liga MX, so many fans are wondering when he should return to the nest.

The arrival of this coach to Liga MX could ruin Cadena's continuity at Chivas and Ortiz's at America

The South American player left Coapa because he could not cope with the pressure and because Santiago Solari no longer had him in his plans for the new campaign. The board of directors headed by Santiago Baños decided to send him on loan to the Sinaloa team and the results are clear: Benedetti improved his level considerably.

Without providing the great numbers that are expected of him, the Cafetalero put the team on his shoulders and acted as one of the leaders of the dressing room given his quality, but unfortunately, the Mazatleco team was eliminated in the playoffs after losing to Puebla at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium.

With this, the Águilas are now preparing to face La Franja in the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2022, while on the other side, doubts regarding the future of the 25-year-old Colombian have been cleared up.

When does Nicolás Benedetti return to América?

For the 2022 Apertura, the creative midfielder will remain in Mazatlán, as his loan is for one year and with an option to buy, so there is a possibility that the South American will no longer be seen wearing the Azulcrema jersey, in the event that the Sinaloans open their wallet to acquire his card.

The Colombian's time with the Águilas was marked by injuries, but these are now forgotten and, with dynamics and goals, his soccer had a resurgence in the land of Culiacán. This situation did not fail to attract attention in the Coapa nest; in spite of this, there are no plans for him to return in the future and his opportunities have already 'expired' with the Azulcrema team.

The only way for Benedetti to return is if América decides to break the loan contract, a situation that looks difficult as they would have to pay Mazatlán for breach of contract.
