It’s no lie to say that Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti is one of the best coaches that Liga MX has had in the past several years, but especially established as the most winning coach the past decade, as he coached Tigres for 10 years.

Giovani dos Santos keeps training in Club América facilities and could return with Las Águilas

After he parted ways with Los Felinos, Ferretti decided to keep his coaching career in FC Juárez, a team with a different goal for Liga MX, as Tigres are used to contending for Liga MX and Los Bravos are fighting to avoid relegation.

And even if Ferretti knew the differences and was ready to face the challenge, the truth is that he hasn’t been able to make things work in Juárez, as they are standing 16 in Clausura 2022 with just eight points, as a result of two victories, two draws and four defeats.

Ferretti has known for a while that there’s nothing much that he can do in Juárez, as he even stated that he presented his resignation letter since the last season, but the decision of keeping him in Los Bravos’ dugout has been an executive decision, although if rumors are true, he could soon push for his dismissal.

Why will he want to leave Juárez?

According to sports journalist David Medrano, his decision of leaving Los Bravos is non-negotiable, as they even offered him a contract extension instead of ending the relationship with him, but he turned it down as he wants to leave Juárez given their current situation.

His decision not only has to do with the poor performances that Los Bravos have had since he took over the job, but also because there’s a big possibility for him of becoming Club América’s next coach once Clausura 2022 is over.

Can he arrive in Club América?

David Medrano claims that Emilio Azcárraga and Santiago Baños are seriously considering “Tuca” Ferretti as one of the potential coaches that could arrive in Las Águilas’ dugout once the current season is over, given the weak season they’re having.

So far, Las Águilas have been able to win just one game after ten rounds, which is what got Santiago Solari sacked from his job after eight rounds. For now, the Azulcremas have Fernando “Tano” Ortíz as interim coach, but he will return to his position with the U-20 squad when the season ends.
