After a disastrous year, Ricardo Ferretti will not continue at FC Juarez for the next season, after deciding not to renew his contract with the institution despite the fact that there is a desire for him to continue.

Ricardo Ferretti’s request to become Chivas’ next coach

According to Mediotiempo, ‘El Bigotón’ has said goodbye to the team at the end of the Clausura 2022 and will meet with the board of directors headed by president Miguel Ángel Garza to inform them of his decision.

Tuca's contract with Bravos expires this month and, although the management wanted him to renew it, he did not want to remain with the institution that he could not save from paying the fine for being in last place in the percentage table.

Ferretti accepted Juárez's offer when Miguel Garza took over the team with the aim of creating a long-term project as happened at Tigres, but in Apertura 2021 they finished in 16th place with 16 points, and in the Clausura 2022 they finished last with 11 points.

Ferretti had already resigned

Tuca has already resigned from the club on more than one occasion, but they refused to accept it, trying to give him their confidence in the team, which has not been able to get out of the last positions on the table this semester.

It will be in the next few hours when the club will make Ferretti's departure from the institution official, waiting to see who will replace him on the bench, as they want to avoid paying a fine for the next soccer year.

Which teams would look for Tuca?

Taking advantage of the fact that Ferretti is available, Cruz Azul has made him an important option to replace Juan Reynoso, who will leave the club at the end of the tournament. Jaime Ordiales considers Ricardo to be a coach with the necessary experience to take over La Máquina; furthermore, there is a good relationship between him and 'Tuca', a fact that plays in the coach's favor.

In addition to Cruz Azul, Chivas Guadalajara would also consider Tuca Ferretti as an option. The coach already led the Rebaño in the 1997/98 season, however, sporting director Ricardo Peláez would be looking at Marcelo Bielsa as a first option.
