Club América, willing to pay $5 million for the striker they are looking for

According to reports from sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 29-year-old French international already has an agreement with Serie A side Juventus to join them once the summer transfer window starts for a second stint, which will become his return to Italy, as he played there from 2012 to 2016.

But Erik ten Hag is already planning the addition of a midfielder to replace Pogba, and Club América has been linked to the Red Devils thanks to one of the midfielders that has become an emblem of the team in recent years.

Who is the Club América midfielder that the Hag wants?

According to several reports, Erik ten Hag has been looking to add Club América homegrown Edson Álvarez, as he knows him well from his stint in Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, where he personally requested his addition back in 2019.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder is looking to arrive to one of the top European leagues over the summer, and it could happen thanks to his former coach, who is looking to rebuild the Red Devils after a forgettable season.

If ten Hag wants Edson Álvarez to play in Old Trafford for the 2022-23 Season, they will have to pay $21.5 million, an affordable sum for a team that will have a great budget to fill all the open spots that the roster has now that several players will become free agents.
