Pachuca vs América

This will be the sixth time that Pachuca and América have met in the Mexican soccer playoffs, in which the Tuzos have dominated the Águilas. Of the five previous occasions, the team from Hidalgo has won in four, in the semifinal of the Verano 2010, in the final of the Clausura 2007, as well as in the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2015 and Clausura 2021; while the Azulcremas side could only win in the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2012.

In the regular phase, they met on the sixth week of the Clausura 2022, when Santiago Solari was still in charge of América, who was subsequently dismissed. On that occasion, Pachuca won 1-3 at the Azteca Stadium with goals from Nicolás Ibáñez, Avilés Hurtado and Víctor Guzmán. Henry Martín scored for the home team.

Tigres vs Atlas

This is the first time that Tigres and Atlas will face each other in the Mexican soccer playoffs since the short tournament format was introduced. However, the closest they have come to meet in the Liguilla was in the Clausura 2021, when they played in the playoff series, in which Atlas won 1-0 with a solitary goal by Julio Furch.

During the regular phase, the two teams faced each other in the last round of the Clausura 2022 at the Jalisco Stadium, where they split the points after a 1-1 draw. Jairo Torres scored for the home side and Nicolás López scored for the visitors in the last play of the match.
