Liga MX 2022 teams are still looking to strengthen for the tournament and among those teams, Club America is known to want Ivan Alejo from Cadiz FC but will they be able to afford his salary?

While Alejo is not the highest-paid player on his team, it is known that the Spanish midfielder is paid in euros so the question makes sense when translating the amount he earns from euros to dollars, which is how many of their players are paid.

So it is worth reviewing how much the player earns and whether Club America will be able to afford his salary.

How much does Iván Alejo earn at Cadiz FC?

The Spanish player earns 300 thousand euros per year, which is equivalent to about 338, 685 dollars, which for many teams in Liga MX 2022 would be an unthinkable salary, but for Club America is a perfectly affordable figure.

Can Club America afford Iván Alejo's salary?

Definitely yes, because to give an example, when Fernando Madrigal was with the Aguilas he earned a weekly salary of 145,697 pesos, the equivalent of just over 7 thousand dollars. While Iván Alejo currently earns a little more than 6 thousand dollars a week.

In other words, for the Aguilas, Alejo's salary would not even be in the top 10 of their highest-paid players.

And if his salary were to increase when playing in Mexico, as it happened with André Pierre-Gignac, this would not be a problem for the Coapa club either.

It is worth remembering that the Aguilas is one of the most financially successful clubs in Liga MX 2022, and that they pay salaries of more than 86 thousand dollars a week, a figure that the Club's current goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa earns with the team.

Alejo was not even among Cadiz FC's highest-paid players. That honor went to Álvaro Negredo, who earned 1.3 million euros per season, while Alejo earned less than a third of that amount.

What now remains in suspense is to know if his arrival to Liga MX will be confirmed, taking into account that they recently lost several signings they had contemplated for the Clausura 2022.

How is the signing of Iván Alejo for Club America going?

As far as is known, reports such as those from Récord newspaper confirm that Cadiz FC has already been contacted by the Azulcrema club to inquire about the contractual situations of both Alejo and Álvaro Jiménez, the club's other player of interest to the Aguilas.

And everything seems to suggest that the arrival of these two players from Spain is very close to happening, since the coach of the team from Anadalucía, Sergio González, is immediately looking for the signing of the Moroccan winger, Oussama Idrissi, to be his first choice in that area.

In the case of Iván Alejo, leaving Cadiz FC would be the best thing that could happen to him at the moment, as he does not have the prominence he desires at his current club, and the option of joining Club América could be a good option for his future.

Especially because at 26 years of age, the player could get more playing time in Liga MX and could also improve his salary situation when he arrives in Mexico.

Although so far there is no official statement from the clubs or the player, we could be witnessing the arrival of Club America's next reinforcement during the week.
