Club América couldn’t complete one of the most amazing feats in Liga MX history, as they were trying to finish Clausura 2022 with a new title after spending half of the season at the bottom of the table, but CF Pachuca stopped them in semifinals.

Now that he’s officially Club América’s new coach, Ortíz wants this player no matter what

But now that they know what they are capable of, Las Águilas already agreed to keep Fernando “Tano” Ortíz as their coach for Apertura 2022 and are planning the movements for next season, including arrivals and departures.

One of the players that will be leaving Club América is Jorge Sánchez, as even if he’s considered by Gerardo “Tata” Martino as the first option for Mexico National Team as left-back, he was involved in several mistakes that costed Las Águilas points in Clausura 2022.

América already has his replacement in line

According to reports from W Deportes, Las Águilas are interested in the acquisition of CF Pachuca defender Kevin Álvarez, who has become one of the best players in Liga MX in the past year, a prove of that is that Los Tuzos are currently playing the final of Clausura 2022.

His current market value is set at $5 million, an affordable sum for Las Águilas although they know that if they can sell Sánchez, they won’t have to invest in his addition, as they are asking for at least $10 million for him given his status of Mexico international.
