Miguel Herrera gambled and ended up regretting it by including a low-profile player in his starting lineup, who did not find himself on the field for large stretches of the match and damaged Tigres' intentions. Cruz Azul took advantage of the player's position.

Miguel Herrera tried to vary his starting eleven and try something different, but the player he chose does not seem to be trying to improve his game and continues to be distracted by the possibilities offered by soccer. It is precisely Ray Fulgencio, who is earning a good salary and is valued at 1 million dollars, the highest figure of his career.

Despite this and all the environment that encompasses Fulgencio's personality, Herrera decided to include him from the start after leaving out Yefferson Soteldo for reasons of indiscipline. However, it seems that Ray Fulgencio also parties as hard as the Venezuelan does and is dazzled by the fact that he is playing in the highest level of Mexican soccer.

The annoyance of the fans of the feline club did not take long to manifest itself through different social networks. Most of the comments were totally unfavorable to "El Piojo's" decision and Fulgencio's work during the match. Phrases such as: "Fulgencio makes a commission with Herrera to stay in the team", are some of the ones that could be read.  However, the player was substituted at minute 61, minutes after which Cruz Azul's second goal was scored.
