Atlético San Luis comes with a lot of confidence after reaching the Liguilla in the epic way they did and beating the team with the most expensive roster in Liga MX.

Who is the player who humiliated Monterrey and is heating up the Pachuca vs San Luis duel?

The player in question is none other than Javier Güémez, a central defender for Atlético San Luis who is full of confidence after his team's feat of eliminating Rayados

Güémez, along with his teammates, humiliated Monterrey, the team with the most expensive roster in Liga MX, by being their equals on the field and allowing only 2 goals from a club that has strikers such as Vincent Janssen and Joel Campbell on its roster.

And although Janssen did manage to score a goal, the Dutchman was not able to be more decisive on the field, so the 2.50 million euros that the Rayados paid for him seem to have been just a waste of money.

And that is without taking into account his participation in the round of penalty kicks, in which the Dutchman failed to score.

In fact, San Luis made it seem that everything La Pandilla costs is a great waste, since this team is worth 79.20 million dollars, while Atletico barely exceeds 3 million dollars.

What did Javier Güémez say to warm up the Pachuca vs San Luis duel in the Quarterfinals of the Liga MX Clausura 2022?

Güémez held nothing back and warned Pachuca to watch out, as they have much more to lose than San Luis. He also reminded them of the harsh humiliation against Monterrey, saying that their victory over them was a blow to authority.

"We have given a blow of authority, nobody thought we could achieve the result. We are in a very uncomfortable place and nobody wants to face us at this stage. Pachuca has more to lose and we have everything to win," were Güémez's words.

The player is excited to know that they are not the favorites to win the tournament, as this would make him enjoy the victory more if they win the competition.

"It doesn't bother us, it's better for us if others get the spotlight, and we can surprise, surprise, and be the dark horse in this Liguilla. Nobody believed that we could reach this stage".

Pachuca vs Atlético San Luis will take place tomorrow at 20:00 ET, 19:00 CT, and the first leg will be played at the Alfonso Lastras Ramírez Stadium.
