On Sunday night in Estadio Universitaro, Tigres was close to become the laughingstock of Liga MX alongside Club América, as for a moment they almost lost their match against a disastrous Mazatlán FC, although they managed to turn thing around and earned a 4-3 victory.

Yeferson Soteldo finally debuted in Liga MX

It’s clear that Tigres is struggling to find a game style under Miguel Herrera’s coaching staff, and it was demonstrated yesterday, after Mazatlán almost pulls off a comeback that would have made Herrera looked bad. Luckily for them, the clock expired before that happened.

On a game that had seven goals on the score, it’s obvious that neither of the two teams performed as expected, especially on defense, as neither Guido Pizarro and the newly arrived Igor Lichnovsky were sharp on their performances.

Who could replace either of them?

Although Herrera said that he’s going to give them time, especially to Lichnovsky, who still must understand the tactics that Herrera wants to establish, if they don’t start to play better soccer, the former Mexico international Diego Reyes will compete for the starting role.
