Even with Santiago Solari gone, Club América hasn’t showed any signs of improvement in the two games they’ve had after the Argentine coach was sacked, as they lost 2-1 against Monterrey and were able to earn a point from their visit to Chivas after a scoreless draw in Estadio Akron.

The point obtained in the round 10 of Clausura 2022 was enough for Las Águilas to leave the bottom of the table, as they reached seven points, the same number that Mazatlán FC has, but the goal difference of América is better, which is why they will enter the round 11 standing 17 in Liga MX.

Fernando “Tano” Ortíz, interim coach of the Azulcremas, said he was happy with the result and the development of the game, as they were able to keep a clean sheet and establish the bases for a different way of operating.

Although it’s true that the clean sheet is an improvement, they looked like they were trying to not lose the game instead of proposing a more offensive strategy, something that is uncommon for a team like Las Águilas.

That’s why Emilio Azcárraga is still looking for someone that can help Club América retake their usual place in Liga MX, as they are not contending for anything right now. Daniel “Ruso” Brailovsky might be the person who will help Las Águilas achieve it.

Will Brailovsky arrive in América?

Daniel Brailovksy decided to resign from his position as a TV analyst a few weeks ago, opening the possibility of arriving in El Nido, given that he’s a person with a strong connection to Las Águilas colors, as he both played for them and coach them in the past.

It’s yet to be seen if he arrives to replace Santiago Baños, who has proven to be a failure as América chairman, but if he does, “El Ruso” already has the first addition that he’ll do to strengthen Las Águilas in the offense, as for now they don’t seem to be able to score.

Who is going to arrive with him?

Atlas striker Julio Furch will be the chosen player to arrive in América along Brailovsky, as he knows that Henry Martín is not suited to be the starting striker for Las Águilas and Roger Martínez hasn’t been as regular as América would’ve wanted.
