People weren’t satisfied with the measures against Querétaro and are threatening to have the homophobic chant back as retaliation

Liga MX and the Mexican Soccer Federation mentioned the sale of the Gallos team in 2022. In light of this, the former América player said he would like to see the team in Zacatepec and play at the 'Coruco' Díaz.

"He will be welcome if they want to come here to Zacatepec, they will be very well received here. I am going to try to contact the owner of Querétaro (Jorgealberto Hank Inzunza). I'm going to tell him to bring him here because there is a spectacular fan base here," he stated in an interview with the media.

How much would the Querétaro FC place cost?

A Liga MX franchise is valued at between US$20 million and US$30 million, according to TV Azteca journalist David Medrano.

To this premise, Javier San Román, president of Irapuato and former president of Alebrijes de Oaxaca, also confirms the value of a First Division team in Mexico.

If Querétaro FC were to be considered for purchase, any owner or interested party would have to pay at least US$20 million.

Cuauhtémoc as governor could not buy the place but he could encourage businessmen to take the Querétaro place to Zacatepec taking into account that they already have the stadium.

Cuauhtémoc Blanco also spoke about the 'barras'

Recognized that these groups must disappear for the good of soccer, as they were responsible for the violent acts that took place last weekend at the La Corregidora Stadium

Cuauhtémoc Blanco stated that the eradication of these groups would provide greater security to fans inside the stadiums and said that they are the ones that harm Liga MX and its different categories.

"I think they should remove the barras because it gives you more security to go to the stadium. That is the reality. The barras are the ones that are hurting Mexican soccer," he said.

In the same vein, the president said that the "barras" are responsible for the accidents since their members enter the buildings intoxicated.

"These barras are the ones that cause these accidents... drinking, even taking prohibited substances... so imagine.... (it is better) the euphoria of a match where the best team has to win", he commented.
