Chivas were eliminated in the quarterfinals of Clausura 2022.

Chivas finished their participation in Clausura 2022 in quarterfinals of Liguilla, where they were eliminated by Atlas FC, who ended up becoming champion of Liga MX with back-to-back titles, which is why El Rebaño Sagrado are already planning next season, as they know they can’t become the second team of Guadalajara.

Alexis Vega could have joined Cruz Azul, but for this reason, he did not

According to reports from TUDN, Ricardo Peláez, sporting director of El Rebaño, already interviewed five candidates to assume the coaching role at Chivas for Apertura 2022, as they have been looking for a new coach since parting ways with Marcelo Michel Leaño.

His place was taken by Ricardo Cadena, who did a good job overall during the seven games he was interim coach, which is why Chivas have agreed to keep him in the dugout for next season, according to reports from MedioTiempo.

He already has his first addition

One of the things that Cadena is known for, is for the work he has with the academy players, as he has coached every academy and reserves team, which is why he knows which are the players that are ready to join the first team for the preseason.

Cadena knows that improving the roster with players from the academy will be essential for their aspirations, which is why he already agreed to call Sebastián Pérez Bouquet to be part of the senior squad after debuting in Liga MX last season.

So far, Pérez Bouquet has played eight games for Chivas, and Ricardo Cadena trusts that the 18-year-old offensive midfielder will have a breakout season in Clausura 2022, as he was one of the most surprising additions that Chivas had with Michel Leaño on the dugout.
