Chivas de Guadalajara are stronger than ever ahead of the playoff match against Pumas UNAM in the Clausura 2022 Tournament to be held next Sunday at the Akron Stadium, since the revulsive that meant the arrival of Ricardo Cadena at the helm turned out to be much more effective than expected, but looking to the future there is a decision that can give a turn of 180 degrees to this story.

Chivas wants to have Marcelo Bielsa as their next coach

Sporting Director Ricardo Peláez continues to analyze whether Cadena will remain on the bench for the Apertura 2022, however, there is a situation that not only depends on the sporting aspect to grant continuity to the coach, who has demonstrated his ability with four consecutive victories in the same number of games played, with which the Rebaño Sagrado went from 14th place to sixth place in one week with 26 points.

According to different sources, Guadalajara's top management is analyzing the possibility of keeping Cadena as the definitive coach for the Guadalajara team, although there are some doubts that they wish to clarify in the coming weeks, such as how he will perform in high-pressure moments such as the playoffs or Liguilla, and even how he will recover when he suffers his first defeat.

Why will Marcelo Leaño's future define Cadena's continuity?

On Monday night, journalist David Medrano explained on "Los Protagonistas" of TV Azteca that the Rojiblancos management has not yet decided what the future of Marcelo Leaño will be within the board, adding that if he is reinstated in a position with the youth teams, they will have some influence on Ricardo Cadena's work and that could cost him his departure in the first few days of the next season.

"Guadalajara has to define an important situation in the next few days with Cadena. If Leaño returns to his position as director, in five or six weeks he will dismiss Cadena. Remember that he is a friend of the owner and nothing can be done about that, there is nothing to do about it," said Medrano in the TV Azteca broadcast.
