The Apertura 2022 tournament is about to begin and it seems that América will arrive with a closed squad. This was confirmed by the institution's sports president, Santiago Baños, who stated that unless there is an injury or the sale of an element, no one else will arrive at Coapa, which is why the signings of Jonathan Rodríguez, Néstor Araujo, and Jürgen Damm were the institution's bets.

In the same vein, the Azulcrema executive pointed out that they have made a significant economic investment in recent markets to build a squad that is as competitive as possible, regardless of the fact that they have not signed internationally renowned players.

With regard to the squad for the semester that will start this week, the Azulcrema manager said he was satisfied and pointed out that there are institutions that at this moment still have not closed their reinforcements, which is why he clarified that hiring players is not always easy.

The team has everything to be champion

Regarding the level of the Águilas' squad, Baños did not hesitate to affirm that it is among the four best in Mexico and that this should give them a certain advantage over several teams that do not have the same resources in terms of players to be championship contenders.
