Peruvian midfielder Pedro Aquino has received an offer to play in Europe. It is presumed that the English team that requires his services is West Ham United.

According to TUDN an offer for Pedro Aquino has arrived directly from the Premier League, although the club that requires him is still unclear.

West Ham's reported interest in the player

Since November, there have been rumors that West Ham United, where Mexican striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernández played, was looking to sign the member of the Peruvian national team, although the Águilas denied any kind of approach from the "Hammers".

Pedro Aquino has been affected by his recent injuries

Pedro Aquino was unable to play in the Liguilla of the 2021 Apertura Tournament due to injury, a figure that was missed by Argentine coach Santiago Solari in the matches against Pumas.

The Peruvian was involved in the qualifying matches of his national team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup in the last FIFA date where he suffered an injury that he had been carrying since he left Mexico, which caused strong displeasure of the America team with the coach Ricardo Gareca, coach of the Peruvian national team.

Jonathan Dos Santos possible arrival could allow the Peruvian to leave América

The possible arrival of Mexican national team player Jonathan dos Santos to the America side would be the replacement to fill the gap left by Pedro Aquino if he leaves to play in European soccer.

Besides Tigres, América has also made contact with the midfielder in the last few hours with the possibility of a contract proposal for next year.

However, the salary will be an issue to be resolved, as Jonathan, who will turn 32 next April, received US$2 million in 2021 with the Galaxy, in the fifth and final year of his contract with the Los Angeles side, a salary that is above what América would be willing to pay for the midfielder, brother of Giovani dos Santos.

After playing 26 games, 22 as a starter, for a total of 1,816 minutes in what was a very irregular season with the Californian team. Los Angeles Galaxy decided not to renew the contract of Jonathan, who received his last call-up to the national team in the October FIFA date, although he did not play minutes in the draw against Canada and the victories over Honduras and El Salvador.

Jonathan dos Santos could make his debut in Liga BBVA MX next season. Despite being born in our country and being part of the Mexican national team, the midfielder has never stepped on a pitch with a Mexican team. Several media outlets report that only a few details are missing for his arrival at América.
