At times, it seems like Alexis Vega is the only Chivas player knowing what he’s doing on the pitch. Not only does he score goals -so far, he’s scored three in five matches-, but also knows when to step back and become an assistant, as he’s given two assistances in Clausura 2022.

Will Amaury Vergara sell Chivas to Arsenal and LA Rams owner?

He has one year left on his contract with Chivas, and although he has refused to sign a contract extension, he hasn't closed the door to prolonging his stay with El Rebaño Sagrado, as long as Amaury Vergara is ready to give in to his requests.

He knows that in Chivas there’s a lot of things that need to change in order to give them back the contender title and return El Rebaño to their former glory, and the first thing to do is acquire top quality players, something he’s asking before renewing his contract.

Which players does he want Chivas to sign?

Currently, Vega lacks someone who can help him to get balls on the offensive side of the pitch, which is why he considers Orbelín Pineda should be a priority for Vergara. They also need better defenders, and Vega knows that César Montes and Jesús Gallardo could fix the defensive problems.
