Two years ago, the sports world stopped after news broke of Kobe Bryant passing away alongside his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant during a helicopter crash. Kobe was one of the best basketball players to ever live, but he never hid his love for soccer.

It wasn’t unusual to see him attending soccer games or trading jerseys with some soccer superstars, especially with AC Milan, Kobe’s favorite team. He even claimed that soccer was his favorite sport, even over basketball, in an interview in Brazil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he attended some games.

And it was during the 2014 World Cup that Kobe was impressed by a Mexican player, during El Tri match against Brazil, after Guillermo Ochoa stopped every single shoot that Brazil tried to keep a clean sheet against the home team.
