Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United having spent time away at Real Madrid and Juventus since leaving Old Trafford in 2009. High expectations were instantly placed on him upon return and standards were immediately set for the club, whether any of those would come to fruition remains to be seen. Regardless of whatever happens, Cristiano Ronaldo's return will benefit the player's personal ambition more than it would benefit the club. Though the club stand to benefit more financially through merchandise sales.

 

There are unfinished businesses for Cristiano, both at Manchester United and in the Premier League and he had just finished one of them today by making his 200th Premier League appearance today, with the next feasible target is reaching 100 Premier League goals, he is just 13 goals away from reaching that milestone. He played 196 games in his first spell and scored 84 goals, since his return he has played four games and scored three goals.
