Romelu Lukaku has returned to Chelsea training after shaking off the injury he sustained in the UEFA Champions League match against Malmö that kept him out of action for the club since then and also ruled him out of the international break for Belgium.

The Big Belgian striker returned to Chelsea at the beginning of the season for the second time after leading Inter Milan to their first Italian Serie A title in 10 years. He re-signed for Chelsea for £97.5m having left the club in 2014 after three years.

Lukaku scored on his debut against Arsenal and also scored twice against Aston Villa as well as in the UEFA Champions League against Zenit St Petersburg. He has gone five games without a goal until his injury. Timo Werner also got injured in the same match as him and Chelsea have used Kai Havertz as their striker.

His return to training is certainly a boost for Chelsea as they face a tough run of fixtures with games coming up fast in the busy December period. Chelsea will travel to the King Power stadium to play Leicester City and his return would mean a lot for Thomas Tuchel.
