Brazilian forward, Richarlison has launched another mockery attack on the Argentine National team following the events that transpired on Sunday. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Brazil and Argentina, ANVISA officials invaded the pitch to detain 3 Argentine players amongst the Abiceleste starting line-up. Emiliano Martinez, Giovanni Lo Celso and Christian Romero were accused of giving false declarations concerning Covid-19 protocols and travel history.

Brazil had placed the United Kingdom on its red list of countries concerning the Covid-19 virus. As such, any traveller who has been to the United Kingdom within the past 14 days is required to quarantine before being allowed entry into the country. The affected Argentine players are alleged to have withheld the information that they have been to England despite the trio plying their trade in the English Premier League. As such the match was abandoned and ultimately suspended when ANVISA officials invaded the pitch to arrest the players.

In his reaction to these incidents, Richarlison took to his Instagram page to post a message about the match. The Everton forward posted a not-so-subtle message saying: "Anvisa 1 - 0 Argentina." His message was an obvious mockery of the Argentine National team, alluding to the Abiceleste being defeated by the Brazilian health authority.

Richarlison himself was called up by the Brazilian national team but because he plays in England with Everton, he could not honour the call-up. Other Brazilian players who were called up but didn't go because of the Covid-19 rules include Gabriel Jesus,  Ederson, Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Fred. Richarlison also mocked the Argentine National team when the Abiceleste exited the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on the group stage. The Brazilian striker posted 'Goodbye Little Brothers" on his Instagram after the Argentines crashed out.
