Antonio Rudiger has been one of Chelsea's best players since German manager Thomas Tuchel took over the club in January and was instrumental in the club's UEFA Champions League victory but he is one of the modest earners at the club and wants more money in his new contract.

Rudiger currently earns a modest £100,000 front he contract he signed sixne joining the club in 2017, he will go out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree to a new contract, he reportedly wants £200,000 per week but the club is unwilling to offer him more than £140,000 which he has rejected.

The club has now been advised to offer him more money than club's highest paid player and most expensive signing Romelu Lukaku who earns about £325,000 per week. However big Rudiger is to the club, the club certainly would be unwilling to offer him that much.

He is reportedly on the transfer list of top European clubs. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are ready to go to war over his signature and both are willing to offer him more than £200,000 per week, the amount Chelsea is unwilling to offer. He'd leave a big void in Chelsea's back three as the only experienced left centre-back until Malang Sarr was played there at the weekend.
