Newcastle didn’t have their best start on the Premier League and earned 11 points out of 9 games played, to occupy the 15th position. Head coach Steve Bruce was very criticized not just because of the results but also due to some polemic decisions that fans didn’t share.
One of those was to use Miguel Almirón just in few occasions. The Paraguayan offensive midfielders in one of the most talented players in the squad of the Premier League side, but the coach considers that he is not that important for the team and left him out of the starting XI many times.
One of those occurred during the last game against Chelsea, which Newcastle lost with Almirón playing only 25 minutes of the game. After all, the player considers that if things continue this way the best option for him will be moving to another club where he can play more.
Almirón arrived to Newcastle from Atlanta United for $25 million. Aged 26 he signed a contract until June 2024, but if a club offers the club the same amount of money for which he arrived some years ago, he could be leaving. Inter is the Italian side interested on him and considering paying that fortune for him to leave.
