Luke Shaw's remarkable 2020/21 season has been rewarded with a nomination at the 2021 Ladbrokes Northwest Football Awards, he is nominated for the ultimate prize of player of the season after an impressive performance on the left side of defence for Manchester United.

 

Shaw took his high morale to the UEFA Euro 2020 where he scored one goal and provided three assists to help England reach the finals where they lost to eventual winners Italy. He played 47 games for Manchester United last season, scored a goal and provided six assists.

 

He was named Manchester United's player of the season 2020/21 and now he has the chance to even win it on a bigger stage. Nominated alongside Shaw is Manchester City's defender Ruben Dias, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Burnley's Chris Wood.

 

The winner will be decided by fan's vote and the event will be hosted at a Gala Awards dinner at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford on Monday November 22.
