Manchester United face one of their biggest transfer windows and now there could be another position on their wish list. Initially, the club was expected to switch to a center back, a right back and a left back at the end of the season, and it was reported that a goalkeeper would also be considered for the next summer market.

However, that now could be about to change, following Edinson Cavani's father had an explosive interview with TyC Sports about his son's future at Old Trafford. Senior Cavani outlined the 34 year old's plan to return to his native South America at the end of the season after failing to establish himself at United. He even stated that there have already been conversations with Boca Juniors about a transfer to La Bombonera Stadium.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is free to discuss his future with other clubs, now that he is in the last six months of his contract. However, United confessed to be interested in extending his stay for another year, but the interview has now turned things around. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to sit down with the Uruguayan, who has been affected by the suspension of three games he received from the Football Association, to resolve his future.

If Cavani wishes to leave, United is unlikely to beg the veteran who makes £ 200,000 a week to stay against his will. Instead, they seem ready to go after a new forward, a year earlier than the board planned. And they already choose their top three options that will likely be considered, if Cavani seals a summer change to Boca Juniors.

- Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund): Haaland is first on everyone's list and for a good reason. Any club that misses out on the Norwegian is likely to regret it for the next decade. Generational talent is on his way to becoming the best striker in the world, although Robert Lewandowski is staying away from him for now.

- Andre Silva (Eintracht Frankfurt): Andre Silva is currently having the season of his life in the Bundesliga with Eintracht, having scored 19 goals in 22 appearances, and awakening the interest of European elite teams. He already has the same number as Haaland, albeit on a team with fewer free goals.

- Dominic Calvert Lewin (Everton): A wild card option to be sure, but given the season he's had, Dominic Calvert Lewin is a name worth considering. It wasn't long before his good form early in the season saw his name tied to the Red Devils.
