One of the main reasons that these deals come up again is because of Luis Suárez. The 34 year old striker left FC Barcelona for free to join a direct rival, Atlético Madrid. Now Simeone’s team is leading the table with two matches to play. This was clearly one of the worst possible deals.

But then there is the one that involved Michael Jordan. During the Draft of 1984 there were several stars waiting to be chosen. But Chicago was the third team on the list. Luckily, Houston decided to pick Olajuwon and Portland choose Sam Bowie. Both of the pivots, and the main reason why Michael Jordan ended up playing for the Bulls.

There is another huge NBA case. Charlotte and Los Angeles Lakersagreed on a trade after the Draft. The Lakers choose Divac, who ended up being a regular player, and Hornets picked Kobe Bryant. They switched, and Kobe won five rings with the team.

Coming back to football, this involves one of the best left-backs of history. Roberto Carlos arrived to Inter from Palmeiras. The coach was Roy Hodgson and they did not like each other. That’s why he was sold to Real Madrid for less than a million dollars.
