Villarreal striker Arnaut Danjuma was on the score sheet for the Netherlands national team in their 6-0 win over Gibraltar in the 2022 FIFA World Cup European qualifying series as the Orange move ahead in their group so as to secure a direct qualification to the mundial.

Danjuma plays for Villarreal in Spain and recently dominated Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League and was named the man of the match ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo who scored for Manchester United. He had a fun night on the wing against Diogo Dalot who he tormented with his quick feet and trickery.

After the match, it emerged that the 24 year old is a subject of transfer interest from Premier League club Liverpool who are willing to pay as high as £35m for the Dutch player. The Reds currently have no competition for him and should they pay his transfer fee, he will join the Reds.

He represents Netherlands at the international level but is also eligible to represent Nigeria as he was born there and his mother is also Nigerian. He made his debut for Netherlands in 2018 and had played just three games and scored two goals.
