Many European clubs will have to miss their South American footballers due to CONMEBOL's calendar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Liverpool is one of the most affected with three players, goalkeeper Alisson Becker, midfielder Fabinho Tavares and striker Roberto Firmino.

 

Liverpool have now confirmed that young goalkeeper Caoimhin Keller will start for the Reds against Watford in the Premier League this Saturday. The young Irish goalkeeper made his full international debut for the Republic of Ireland during the international break but will return early to the club.

 

He last played a game for Liverpool last month in the 3-0 win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup and kept a clean sheet. The 22 year old has a small market value of £2m compared to Alisson Becker who Liverpool signed for £66m three years ago.

 

Alisson Becker is one of the best goalkeepers in the world reputable for his great reflexes and ability to play from the back which is instrumental to Liverpool's buildup game. He scored a goal last season, an header from a corner kick that helped the club qualified for the UEFA Champions League this season.
