Lionel Messi would reject PSG and this is the Plan B that the French team would sign

Lionel Messi is, at his 33 years old, deciding where he will continue his professional career. The Argentinian legend has made clear that he wanted to leave FC Barcelona a couple of months ago, but wasn’t able to do so as ex-president Josep María Bartomeu denied him that possibility.

After the departure of Bartomeu and with the contract of Messi ending on June 2021, there are now clear chances for him to depart. One of the places where he could move to is Paris Saint-Germain, where his great friend Neymar is waiting for him and has already assured that he wanted to play once again with him.

Despite rumors, it is more probable nowadays that Messi moves to Manchester City, as he is considering that is a better option. But PSG still want to sign an important player for the next season and that is the reason why they are already working to incorporate another Argentinian important offensive midfielder.

He is Alejandro Gómez, mostly known as Papu, who is set to leave Atalanta after a fight with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini and appears in the radar of the French side. With an actual reported value of $15 million and at his 32 years old he seems to be ready to try luck at one of the most important European teams during the last years. Other options for him are AC Milan, Inter or Roma.
