The Premier League has witnessed some great African talent over the years; Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure and even Samuel Eto'o have spent time in the league and left their mark. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy are the top African stars in the Premier League.

Mohamed Salah was first brought to the Premier League by Chelsea but failed to make a cut at the London club and spent the years between 2015 to 2017 at Italian clubs Fiorentina and Roma before he was signed by Liverpool for €42m in 2017 and he has gone on to become a big player.

He has scored 101 Premier League goals for Liverpool, he scored just two for Chelsea before his departure which puts him at 103 Premier League goals, only one behind Didier Drogba who scored 104 for Chelsea across two spells, and won two Golden Boot same as Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool. He has also won several individual awards including three Premier League player of the month, one Premier League player of the season, goals of the month and goal of the season awards.
