Lionel Messi, like so many other sportsmen, relies on cabals or customs to feel confident before challenges. The 34-year-old Argentine striker confessed some of his habits: "Before going to bed I like to leave the table ready for the next morning and at breakfast everyone is always in the same place, in the same place. When I get home I take off my shoes right away and if I have confidence I also do it at other people's houses. I also have others that I prefer to keep to myself," he revealed.

Messi's cabala at PSG

At training session with the PSG squad revealed another of his rituals. And it was all the rage on social networks. In it, he can be seen walking out onto the field with Leandro Paredes, taking the precaution of doing it with the right foot. And then, when crossing the white line, he looks down carefully and avoids stepping on it.

For the time being, in the rehearsals, Messi continues to amaze with his talent. This Wednesday he took part in a reduced soccer game in which he was always part of the attacking teams. With a green shirt, the striker never had to defend and every time one of the sides regained the ball, he could count on him to elaborate the offensive. He was able to team up with Neymar, Angel Di Maria, Leo Paredes and the young Xavi Simons, among others. The Argentinian had the luxury of scoring two goals and offering some of his repertoire.

With just hours to go before the match between Reims  and PSG on the third matchday of Ligue 1, it is not yet known whether Messi will play. But fans filled the virtual ticket offices and bought all the tickets available at the Stade Francis-Le Blé. "Everyone wants to see Messi," Xavier Lavanant, president of the fan group Hermine 29, told local media. The six-time Ballon d'Or winner, the flamboyant Copa America champion, continues to impress with his ball skills. Even if from time to time he clings to the cabals, like the rest of us mortals.
