Gareth Bale was omitted from Wales 23 man squad that will face Belgium tonight in a must win encounter for the British country if they will be at next year's FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Bale has had a career plagued by injuries and has struggled for form and consistency and that has hampered his career having gone missing for club and country in important games, many of which have come playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Bale has missed 135 games in his career due to injuries ranging from hamstring to calf to ankles and knee injuries. His worst injury is the ankle injury sustained in the 2016/17 season that kept him out of action for 84 days and made him miss 17 games.

Bale who recently clocked 100 international caps for Wales has played over 500 games in his career despite his injury struggles. He has scored 183 goals and provided 141 assists, not a bad return for a player who started his career from left-back.
