Lionel Messi surprised everyone a few years ago when he appeared with his entire leg tattooed in black. The FC Barcelona player decided to cover up some old tattoos and simply paint his leg black. Furthermore, Lionel Messi wears a large tattoo of Christ on his arm, demonstrating his faith in religion.

David Beckham is another of the former players who has most of his body tattooed. One of the most important tattoos of the former LA Galaxy player is a large angel that he has on his back with the names of his children. Another who has a large tattoo on his back is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the most important tattoos are those that bear the names of people who died of starvation.

Luis Suarez decided to tattoo with his wife a lion and a lioness on his fingers as a symbol of his love and the role they play in his family. Neymar also has several tattoos made on his body but the one that we are going to highlight is the one who wrote "life is a joke" and the image of his sister in one of his arms.

It is surprising to see that Antoine Griezmann has the same tattoo as Lionel Messi on his arm. The FC Barcelona player has a large image of Jesus Christ on his arm. Mauro Icardi and Memphis Depay decided to make a big lion on their body, unlike the PSG player did it on his chest and Depay on his back.

There are many players who got tattoos and their entire body is full of images, but it is enough to see some examples to notice the importance that soccer players give to tattooing their bodies. Soccer tattoos came as a fad and it seems they are here to stay.
