The 4-0 victory of FC Barcelona over Real Madrid in El Clásico played on Sunday night marked the return of Barcelona to the first places of European soccer, as it was the sign that Xavi Hernández needed to prove that the crisis was left behind.
Miguel Herrera will be the next coach of Mexico National Team
Real Madrid was looking to win their fifth Clásico in a row, as they were unbeaten in La Liga since the 2019-20 season. But what was more impressive was the 4 goals that the Blaugranas scored, as they haven’t scored more than one goal in the past 3 seasons before today.
Now, Barcelona are standing third in La Liga, just three points away from Sevilla and 12 behind Real Madrid, who are still leaders and will probably end the season as La Liga champions, after they were runner ups last season, when Atlético won for the first time in seven years.
That won’t stop Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Pérez, who realized that they still need to improve the roster to avoid another defeat like the one against Barcelona, which is why they’re already looking for possible additions for the 2022-23 season.
It’s evident that Los Merengues mostly rely on their offensive players, and if they’re not plugged in, they don’t have a way of getting back on track, that’s why Ancelotti knows they need to have players that are ready to jump on the pitch when needed.
That’s why he has requested the addition of Hirving “Chucky” Lozano for the next season, as the 26-year-old right-winger could improve Los Merengues offense, either as a starter or a revulsive substitution if needed.
It’s worth mentioning that Ancelotti was the coach that requested his arrival in Napoli back in 2019, when he was the coach of the Azzurri, which makes more probable that he wants to have “Chucky” Lozano on his roster once again.
According to the last report of La Gazzetta dello Sports, Napoli has valued the Mexico international in $50 million, a figure similar to the one that they paid to PSV Eindhoven when they first acquire him three seasons ago.
